The results were highly reliable, and achieving the final goal, their integration into society, their professional integration, the promotion of professional development in ICT methodologies, the utilization of communication tools, the development of motor skills, socialization, and finally the unblock. The impact of the project was multiple on the participants themselves (extroversion), on their families and on the wider society (removal of stereotypes)
The training program for people with intellectual and physical disabilities (PWD) was completed in the period from 20/6/2023 to 04/7/2023 in Greece. The company Entaxis - Action for inclusion and Education received these people with great joy. The theme of the program was "Technology and universal design in the service of people with disabilities". The design of the educational training program was done in collaboration with Entaxis - Action for inclusion and education, which is strongly active in the education and removal of exclusion of people with disabilities. By creating the program we enabled the expansion and utilization of ICT with innovative tools. With the training program we developed rewarding relationships and we drew a lot of information from their own experiences.Equipment and training procedures for the development of basic skills using ICT from implementation of common previous programs. We also exchanged know-how and skills.The participants were the trainees who were people with intellectual and physical disabilities (PWD) and their companions. The training was conducted in Greek language by trainers with a high scientific level. The participants applied a new method of training which created and exploited many abilities possibilities so that their integration (social, professional) became possible. That because by utilizing communication tools, ICT and the development of motor skills, the removal of the exclusion of people with disabilities (PWD) can be achieved. The content of the activities was as follows: The THEORETICAL PART which covered the learning of innovative software for the disabled. The TECHNICAL VISITS AND EXCHANGE OF EXPERIENCES which were carried out in addition to the theoretical training program in various Centres for People with Disabilities of the host country, with workshops such as Pottery, Robotic Painting, Theatre and Music. In addition, CULTURAL VISITS were also carried out. The monitoring of the program was done by a committee with continuous meetings. After the end of the seminars, there was a dissemination day of the program at the ceremony sites of the host partner where attendance certificates were awarded. For the smooth completion of the program, the relevant cooperation contract was signed between the partners immediately after the approval of the present plan, in which the obligations of each partner were explicitly described. Each participant, (the trainees with disabilities with the help of their companions) submitted at the end of the program an oral questionnaire about the subject and level of the training, as well as the experiences and impressions they gained. They also received a diploma from the host organization as proof of their participation in the educational process which was certified according to the Europass certificate. The program was promoted electronically on the Web Site of the Sending-Hosting partners and the media. A dissemination day of the program was also organized. The host partner had great expertise in programs to improve the quality and attractiveness of vocational education and training for people with disabilities. The host partner had also organized many educational programs for the disabled with great sensitivity, in order to ensure their optimal professional training, personal and intercultural development, as well as appropriate personal monitoring and evaluation. The host partner was rresponsible for organizing the training, i.e. finding the trainers and training venues as well as organizing the training program calendar. Also imparted a lot of know-how on the specialized software used as he took care in advance to train our instructors using distance learning to learn and use the software packages.
