Taking into account the rising levels of the amount of people suffering from gambling addiction, spurred a will to further disseminate the results of the activity BET YOUR LIFE (KA2 project) through this follow up activity: Boost, Empower and Teach (BET) against Gambling. Currently there are limited workshops and awareness that exist in Europe to prevent young people from gambling addiction, and due to our effort to cope with those figures, we decided to organise an international youth exchange. The overall aim of the project is to improve the level of awareness of young people, including marginalised youth, on the harmful consequences of problem gambling and to promote educational methodologies based in non-formal education to prevent them from mental addiction in gambling and any other type of it. Objectives: - To understand the impact and consequences of problem gambling - To explore attitudes to gambling and risk and able to recognise problematic signs in themselves or other young people - To increase and deepen awareness of the gambling reality in their own country and learn about the realities in the participating countries - Understand the role and influence of advertising and find new and effective ways for problematic gambling intervention/workshops for young people to develop socially responsible messages around gambling. - To improve the digital skills and creativity of participants by developing a campaigning video during the ‘Conducting Intervention’ workshop. - To develop active participation, social and civic responsibility and the competence of empathy as a skill by exploring NFE methods and techniques. This will be achieved by participants engaging in NFE activities, and also getting the chance and space to coordinate their own NFE workshops. - To provide participants with a deepened self-knowledge and develop their communication in English, as well as, in their mother language.
