The aim of the school project was to increase the quality of teaching, motivate pupils to learn, internationalize the school and develop general cultural attitudes with an emphasis on equality and inclusion, European identity and a sense of European citizenship. With this project, the school supported the further professional development of its employees and enabled not only foreign language teachers to gain new experience by participating in a language/methodology course. The goal was for teachers to make full use of innovative IT tools, to be able to detect fake news and to be able to support pupils in critical thinking. The goal was also for non-linguist teachers to practice their language skills directly on "English soil".
Our school provides education that respects the individual needs of students. It supports talented students as well as students with a handicap, with social problems or from disadvantaged backgrounds. Our elementary school participates in the Erasmus programs, because the teachers want to convey to their pupils a positive EU membership and educate pupils in such a way as to strengthen the European Union. Our project is mainly dedicated to increase ICT and language competences, which are important for the development of Europe in the 21st century. We emphasized the support of the multicultural development of the EU and the development of self-confidence in language competences among teachers and pupils. All the innovative methods were used by the teachers in the lessons to increase the motivation of the students to learn. We wanted to incorporate innovative methods and the connection of ICT with other subjects into the new ŠVP. We wanted to use IT tools in subjects other than just in ICT. At our school, we wanted to improve the quality of the IT infrastructure and strengthen the Internet connection.
