Objectives

The objectives were set in accordance with the valid documents of the school, i.e. mainly the Internationalization Strategy, the Continuing Education Plan for teaching staff and the School Action Plan. The aim was to increase the number of teachers who are able to communicate in foreign languages for the following reasons. The school management is interested in involving as many staff as possible in international activities. The primary objective was to improve or increase the language competences of teachers; to support teachers in their professional and personal growth, which is an integral part of a quality educational process; to improve the quality and efficiency of teaching in our school; to increase the motivation of pupils to learn foreign languages and to improve the school climate. The added value of the project was also the prevention of burnout syndrome, which is unfortunately quite common in education. The project focused mainly on teaching and learning foreign languages, pedagogy, active citizenship and awareness of the EU and democracy. Especially the last mentioned topic is very topical nowadays, at the time of the grant application nobody knew what events would happen in the world (war conflict in Ukraine).
