The long-term goal of the school is to maintain and, if possible, constantly improve the quality of teaching. One of the specific goals of this project was to expand the offer of optional seminars and clubs to include the basics of Russian and a seminar based on the culture of English-speaking countries. Another goal was to build on CLIL in chemistry classes. Furthermore, we wanted to strengthen the position of the educational advisor and improve cooperation with pupils and parents. The priority of the school is the modernization of teaching, experience in the field of ICT gained on foreign courses is beneficial for teaching. An equally important goal was to enable teaching and non-teaching staff of the school to study a foreign language, get to know the culture of other European countries and meet foreign colleagues with whom they can exchange experiences or establish future cooperation within the framework of international projects.
Our key need was and still is to support the professional development of our school's teachers. Our goal is to improve the quality of teaching and methods of working with students. The effort is to follow the trend of a modern school with an emphasis on multiculturalism. Knowledge of a foreign language is a necessity today, it will contribute to increasing the teachers' self-confidence, enable them to use foreign teaching materials and implement the experience gained in the international environment of European language schools into teaching. In the project, we applied for funding for language, language-methodology and professional courses based on the key needs of our school. Our school supports various international projects, participation in Erasmus+ projects has already been a tradition here for a long time. Even in view of those international projects, it is necessary to strengthen our teachers' communication and organizational skills as much as possible.
