The initial goal of the project was to increase the number of employees, especially teachers, who are able to communicate effectively in English or German and thereby include them in participation in the school's foreign activities, i.e. increase their language competence. Through this project, the school aimed to enable a greater number of teachers to be involved in the professional training of pupils for their foreign internships, or to actively participate in these mobilities as accompanying persons or as part of their professional development, and also to participate in organizing the internships of foreign students at the school . The goal of the project was to involve not only teachers of foreign languages, but especially teachers of specialized and general subjects, and thus contribute to the development of the school by ensuring that the teachers prepare the pupils well not only for the foreign language matriculation exams, but also prepare the pupils for application to the international labor market through the application of a foreign language in the lessons of professional subjects and by sharing your experiences from a stay abroad on a possible life abroad. The secondary goal was to create materials that, after being inserted into the school's IT system, will serve not only the teachers themselves, but also other colleagues.
The Language Courses in Europe project was created due to the need of Hranice High School of Technology to maintain its internationalization goals. The goals of the project are based on the school's current need to make studies more attractive for potential applicants and to improve the quality of the work and study environment. With the entry of the Czech Republic into the European Union and the expansion of the labor market across the borders of European states, the school's activities have moved to an international level. Students are increasingly interested in travel and learning, professional practice abroad, work abroad, sightseeing tours to the capitals of the European Union countries, etc. Therefore, the school focused on the professional development of its employees aimed at international activities and submitted this project in order to the provision of professional knowledge and skills that teachers pass on to their pupils was more varied and interesting. The teachers participating in this project will apply all newly acquired linguistic and methodological experience in their teaching activities. By including the CLIL method in their teaching and passing on their experiences to the pupils, teachers prepare them for a possible life abroad. In this way, students can better understand their expertise not only in the conditions of the Czech Republic, but also in an international context.
