The main aim of this project was to support the further language development of the employees of our school, especially in English. English is essential for us as we intend to engage more intensively in international cooperation in the field of technical education of our students. Another language we wanted to develop is Spanish. Spanish is important for our school because we are in close cooperation with our Spanish partner within the programme Erasmus +.
We decided to lodge the application for this project in order to improve the language skills of our teachers, establish international cooperation, and gradually take part in projects such as e-twinning and Erasmus+. We focused on sending out those teachers who are involved in international mobility programmes and excursions and who want to be active in further international cooperation. We also wanted to send out our administrative workers because they need to be able to communicate in English. We were aware of the fact that a two-week course is not sufficient to master a foreign language but it can be a great impulse for further development. Also, the contacts established during the programme will be important for the further development of international cooperation of our school.
