Our main aim was to make our teachers more proficient in foreign language. Through this aim (even though not only through it), we could focus on other goals like CLIL method of teaching, teaching competences and expert knowledge development. We focused on using ICT technologies in everyday classroom while also working on ICT competencies of our employees. Widening cultural knowledge and preventing stereotypical thinking of our teachers and students are natural for us (after many years working on Erasmus+ projects), however, these goals cannot be forgotten as we consider them extremely important.
We applied for the project in order to move our school another step forward. As we have a lot of experience with Erasmus+ projects, we know how valuable they are for the participating schools and how motivating they can be for the employees and therefore even the students. As we have been trying to include the CLIL method as something common and natural for our students for the last few years, language and methodology learning is vital for our teachers. Our employees are willing to educate themselves and work on themselves so that their teaching reflects on the current needs of the studant and today's world. The Erasmus+ projects are a perfect tool for these teachers to learn, get new inspiration, information but also share their ideas, opinions, to find out what teaching practice looks like in other countries, to find out what they have in common with their foreign colleagues etc.
