The aim of the project was to strengthen and improve the skills, abilities and knowledge of the pupils, to contribute to their professional and personal growth. For us, one of the key points were that our students cannot experience on our school farm or in our region, giving them a more general overview not only in agricultural production but also in farm management. Another priority of completing the internship was to improve the students' language skills. The students engaged in discussions with the owners in the family-like environment of the organic farm, making it easier for them to converse and thus greatly improving their conversational English while learning Italian/Slovenian/Spanish words. The students experienced working in different working conditions than in the Czech Republic, proved that they are able to adapt to a foreign lifestyle and will be prepared for life after graduation.
Our school has already implemented similar projects and the results have been very satisfying for us and our students. That is the main reason why we decided to continue to participate in the implementation of projects, to look for new partners or maintain contact with the existing ones, to send our students on short and long-term internships, to improve the coordination of projects and to help our students to broaden their horizons. We want to enable our students to improve their language skills, to experience a different culture and to get a taste of working life outside the Czech Republic. We would like them to use and improve their theoretical and practical knowledge from our school in other places than in the Czech Republic and learn new things that are hard to get to. By implementing the project, we want to help our students, but also attract new applicants who would like to travel abroad for these reasons, at the same time our teaching staff will deepen the relationship with the students and get involved in the preparation of these projects.
