The lessons took place under the guidance of chefs Andrea and Lelli Toria, who prepared (according to the schedule and approved units of learning) teaching menu of Italian dishes. Our students learned how to prepare Italian cuisine and also created from this knowledge notes, work diary, cookbook and methodology called „We Eat Healthy“. All planned activities went according to plan and met the objectives of the long – term education plan and school development. 2. Internship in the field of Gardening – Students worked under the guidance of an experienced gardener from Solaris to establish and maintain the ornamental and park greenery and, in the gardens of the 3* and 4* hotels, it operates Solaris s. n. c. They also arranged and decorated the hotel premises, improved the soil with special substrates based on lava crumb and they realized an ornamental flower bed from balconies. Social conditions were provided to the students. They worked in small groups and due to this form of teaching and assistants we provided an individual approach to students with support measures. All planned activities went according to the plan and met the objectives of the long – term education plan and school development. 3. Training stay of 3 employees in the school for 5 days. Foreign lecturers provided three practical trainings for 15 students in the field of Catering and Accommodation Services in the length of 3 x 5 hours. The content of the training was practical demonstrations of the production of desserts, the production of homemade pasta and making coffee. The courses, each with a capacity of 15 participants, were aimed primarily at students who, for capacity reasons, could not go to Italy. To ensure maximum effectiveness of this activity and eliminate language barrier, the courses were translated into Czech language. All planned activities of the project led to the development of the organization and improved the strategy development of SOU and PrŠ Kladno – Vrapice. The internship met the most important topics: inclusion, involvement of disadvantaged groups and solutions to early school leaving, problems in the labor market, including career guidance and youth unemployment. At the same time, it fulfilled the key competence. Our teachers have gained invaluable experience from long-term professional Italian experts. The mobilities went according to the plan and the project met the objectives of Strategy 2030+, Long-term school education, development plan, and it coincides with the long-term plan of the Czech Republic. The project called The Right way – Vrapice fulfilled more than we expected. We have gained new practical experience and inspiration for further work with Italian partners. The newly acquired practical activities and skills of the students after completing the internship correspond to the current European market work so that their educational potential can be fully fulfilled with the help of supportive measures. Experience from previous projects shows us that we have chosen the right path in motivation of our students and the fulfillment of our goals. Particular activities, personal example and a sense of success are invaluable for our students, leading to involvement in the work process. It is (for a better standard of living) needed to obtain qualifications and good employment. The project serves to prevent youth unemployment and greatly reduces the percentage of early school leaving, which is a priority of the Europe the 2030+ Strategy.

Background

The main goal of the project The right way was to increase the competitiveness of students with special educational needs in the labor market. Due to pandemic reasons, the internship was not implemented until 2022. The project was focused on improving the training of students in the E - fields of Culinary Work and Gardening. The target group was of 30 students with special educational needs. The main topics of the project were: Inclusion Involvement of disadvantaged groups Labor market problems, including career guidance / youth unemployment. The project clearly met the EU's goals and strategies in the field of education and the reduction of early school leavers. The project a) 14-day internship of students with SEN in the field of Culinary work - a total of 12 supported students with special educational needs b) monthly internship of students with SEN in the field of Culinary Work - a total of 4 supported students with special educational needs c) 14-day internship of students with SEN in the field of Gardening - a total of 14 supported students with special educational needs d) training stay of 2 employees in a school lasting for 30 students in the field of Culinary Work The aim of the mobility was to improve theoretical and practical professional skills in the Italian partner organizations. Students thus had the opportunity to gain new experience related to the studied specialization in the real environment of a foreign company and thus support their competitiveness in the labor market. An integral part of the mobility was also the improvement of the language skills of all participants. The activities focused on practical activities and skills in the open labor market. Special conditions were provided for the students. They worked in small groups and thanks to this form of teaching, an individual approach to students with SEN was ensured. Another support measure for the internship abroad was a teaching assistant. The participants of the two-week internship were always accompanied by two teachers and one teaching assistant, and two accompanying persons took part in the monthly internship. Accompanying people monitored the course and organization of the internship, participated in the creation of work plans and also co-organized leisure activities. The participants of the internship were evaluated by Italian lecturers according to the parameters contained in the units of learning outcomes. The mobility results were recorded in the learning unit verification sheets, which helped to simplify the verification of the mobility results. The output of the project was 30 supported students who received a Europass and a certificate of completed internship. These documents are important for future employers. The graduates of the internship not only gained comprehensive know-how about Mediterranean gastronomy, they learned new skills in client care during the covid and in the activation methods of seniors, they established ornamental greenery. They developed communication skills in a foreign language, gained experience from the real market environment. An internship abroad was a unique experience for students, which will help them to better apply in their professional lives and will positively affect their personal lives. The internship clearly showed that it is the ecstasy that often has a very stimulating environment and new experiences that motivate our students to attend better, understand the need to learn and be responsible for their lives. The project increased the school's credit. After the mobility, the school informed the students, teachers, parents, the public and the media about the results of the foreign mobility. Foreign mobility has improved the conditions for the employability of young people with disabilities and social disadvantages. Experiences in the field of integration, inclusion and youth unemployment have been a great benefit for educators. We discussed key competences for life with Italian partners. The project developed the professional abilities and skills of the participating students, increased the motivation and incentive to learn for students from low-stimulating backgrounds. Attendance and school failure of at-risk students have decreased. The newly acquired practical activities and skills of students after completing the internship correspond to the current European labor market and at the same time the mobility has improved the conditions for completing the educational career of a young person with a disability in order to find employment in their field. The long-term impact of the project is to reduce unemployment of youngsters and early school leaving. These are the EU's main objectives in the field of education, which the project has clearly achieved.
