Our trainers had the task of comparing and evaluating technological processes at crops and livestock production, in orchards and in addation they had an opportunity to get to know with methods of propagating plant material. The introduction of agricultural products into food chains and local markets was a great benefit for our trainees. Methods for conserving biodiversity and regional plant and animal species, conserving biodiversity and improving ecosystems related to agriculture in the subtropical region of Adalusia were very beneficial given the global warming and climate change that already affect Central Europe. Cultivation of exotic varieties of fruit and vegetables had a great educational benefit for widening of trainers' knowledge.

Background

Activities of Association of Graduates and Friends of Agricultural School in Chrudim z.s. are based on strategic policy documents, mainly Regulation of European Parliament and Council of EU of support for rural development and National Strategic Plan for Rural Development in the Czech Republic. In a just finished project, we focused on 2 important outputs, namely to incerase professional knowledge and widen competencies of internal trainers and expand an educational offer with "Fictive Farm" course. For our project goals, we chose 2 host countries with different climatic conditions for agriculture, namely Ireland and Spain. In Ireland, we compared the diferent breeding in a livestock, well-fare, feeding methods, land processing technology, processing agricultural products, posibilities of sale, financial benefit for farmers and marketing strategies with production technologies and sales opportunities in the Czech Republic. We gained completely new knowledge in agriculture in the subtropical region of Andalusia, which suffers from drought and water shortages. We processed the gained knowledge in a training course "Fictive Farm" which was pilot-tested before the end of the project and it was a great success in our target groups.
