International cooperation and networking with other planetariums enables us to implement a variety of projects, to promote scientific knowledge, technical facilities and a critical way of thinking by all means. We underline the importance of satellite technologies, a part of everyday life of each of us. We inspire young people to take interest in science and technology. As a part of the established relations, in the future we plan to focus more not only on natural science research, but also to develop activities to jointly prevent the increase in light pollution and preserve an unobstructed view of the natural sky on a pan-European basis. In the discussion about light pollution, coordination of our activities with key planetariums throughout Europe is essential. Thanks to the expansion of our network of contacts, we can successfully implement the annual European film show for digital planetariums, where we invite new and existing partners. Together, we want to devote ourselves to the development and promotion of European cosmonautics. Last but not least, our goal is to contribute to finding the optimal way in the matter of alternating daylight saving time and zone time and to help find a way out of the problem with regard to the biorhythm of the human species.
We are a center for the popularization of sciences - especially in the area of inanimate nature: astronomy, geology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, geography and others. We present these disciplines to the public in an understandable, entertaining and interactive form - we open up and make the issues of science, technology and research more attractive, especially with the help of the specific technology of the digital planetarium. The ambition of our institution in the European context is to maintain an exclusive position among Czech science and multimedia centers, to get to know other European planetariums, to be inspired by their activities and to keep up with the best - both in terms of the level of educational programs offered and in terms of technical equipment. Thanks to mobilities, we get a comparison of how colleagues work in other European planetariums, what programs they offer and with what audience response, what additional activities they prepare. No less important is that we represent our city, the South Moravian region and the Czech Republic within the whole of Europe. Mobility projects have therefore been key for us from the beginning and fully meet our expectations.
