By implementing the project, we wanted to raise awareness of the issues of healthy lifestyle, balanced and healthy eating, obesity, lack of opportunities to practice outdoor sports activities in communities that often face severe air pollution and lack of exercise due to the office work that offers only limited possibilities for it. Our project's aim was to enable young people not only to learn about these problematics using non-formal learning methods, but also to give them the opportunity to practice various outdoor group activities and sports, using special inclusive variants of these sports that prevent discrimination, that ensure the gender balance and which help to create a friendly spirit of teamwork between the participants. Hereby, we wanted to ensure that all young people, and especially our disadvantaged participants, who often faced overweight health problems, could develop a new approach to healthy lifestyle and physical activities in such a way that the fun during the activities could be beneficial for health. We also used non-formal learning methods to enable young people to discuss healthy lifestyle issues in their countries and come up with new ideas concerning the ways of popularization of healthy lifestyle and outdoor sports activities among young people, and we succeeded in creating an international youth network interested in these topics. By implementing the project, we also wanted to introduce young people to little-known inclusive team sports such as "Kinball", which we played in public events in Bruntál Square, but also to other outdoor activities that are only known nationally in our partner countries and thus popularize other original outdoor activities. In their home communities, our disadvantaged participants face the problem that they do not have much chance in their youth-abandoned areas to play team sports and often do not have friends with whom they can do these sports. By organizing a public sporting event in which local passers-by participated, we wanted to show them healthy sports activities as an efficient way of meeting and befriending other youngsters, while working together on something that will be beneficial for health. We also wanted to give young people the opportunity to get to know different cultures and traditions, as well as to make new international friends from the 6 partner countries of the project - the Czech Republic, Poland, Italy, Bulgaria, Spain and Portugal. We also wanted to spread European values and multiculturalism, fight together against negative societal phenomena such as discrimination, xenophobia and racism, and support young people's self-development, as well as to enable them to develop their 8 key competences. Last but not least, we wanted to raise the awareness of our fellow citizens and their views on the European Union, disseminate information on the Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps programmes and to promote a sustainable lifestyle, just like the concept of "zero waste". Therefore, the objectives of the projects were following: - to organizace a preparatory meeting for 12 participants and a youth exchange for 30 participants in Karlov pod Pradědem - to tackle the process of popularizing unhealthy habits in society and to show our participants and their home communities the importance of a healthy lifestyle for their further development - to talk to young people about the consequences of an unhealthy lifestyle in our countries, where the rate of premature deaths caused by these consequences is high - to create an international network of young people and youth organizations committed to promoting healthy lifestyle among young people - to build a positive attitude in young people towards healthy outdoor team activities - to allow young people to get to know new cultures, traditions and customs of the 6 partner countries of the project and to give them an opportunity to socialize and meet new international friends - to discuss ways in which the general public, including young people in our home communities, can be introduced to the concepts of a healthy lifestyle in a fun way - to raise awareness of the phenomenon of pollution, which limits the performance of healthy outdoor activities, and to motivate local governments, organizations and governments to address this issue - to motivate young people to live actively and healthily, while also being interested in sustainable development and their surroundings - to spread European values and to tackle negative social phenomena, in particular racism, xenophobia and discrimination - to enable the inclusion of disadvantaged youth, enable these youngsters to take part in the project, make new friends and be included - to increase the visibility of our region in Europe and economically support local entrepreneurs - to promote the Erasmus + and European Solidarity Corps programmes - to organize campaigns in our communities to promote a healthy lifestyle, healthy eating and sports
