Objectives

The project "Health as Personal Wealth!" took place from 25 July to 2 August 2022 near the Kružberk dam in the Moravian-Silesian Region, with 6 participating countries: Czech Republic, Italy, Malta, Germany, Cyprus, and France. Together, 53 young people participated in the project, including leaders and 10 participants with fewer opportunities. It was an international youth exchange that dealt with preventing physical and mental health and providing first aid. The main objectives of the project were set out as follows: 1) Explain to participants the importance of prevention and promote interest in their health 2) To teach young people the basics of first aid and to motivate them not to be afraid to provide first aid. The first goal has helped young people to understand the importance of prevention in two areas - cancer and mental health. Thanks to the project, young people became acquainted with the principles of self-examination and the basics of psycho-hygiene, which has contributed to the improvement of their lives. Thanks to the second goal, the participants have gained practical experience in providing first aid. It has increased their awareness of current trends in first aid areas and boosted their self-confidence, which enabled participants to know how to behave in critical situations better. The target group of participants consisted of young people who are interested in a healthy way of life and who realize that preventing physical and mental health is an essential aspect of their lives. At the same time, they wanted to get acquainted with the current principles of providing first aid in experiential form.
