Objectives

Original plan and aim and objectives of the project were the following: Social Economy in Practice (SEP) project was developed as an answer to various approaches to Social Economy (SE). There are many approaches, methods and tools, but not all are suitable for every condition, but they offer a potential solution for social problems and their implementation is often not very complicated if there is proper knowledge which to choose and competence in using them. After 8 years of research within the topic, the time has come to put together a complex long-term training for youth workers who are interested in social impact activity in their area to train them in the proper implementation of one or more of the SE solutions. This project was based on scientific research in the area of SE, university courses and practical experience from the area. With the addition of non-formal learning methods, these were combined to create a unique training course that would provide a social impact tool for the participants. Social Economy in Practice (SEP) aimed to create a complex knowledge base for participants about Social Economy context and its approaches, methods and tools in order to be applied directly by them to create the social impact in their reality. Objectives of the Project were: To train participants (Youth Workers) in the ways of the Social Economy by non-formal experiential learning methodology To guide participants to select a social problem from their reality and one or more of presented SE approaches to tackle it To give participants time in between activities to make a situation analysis and needs assessment and to propose a way of implementation of the selected approach To evaluate and guide participants to create a real viable project for implementation of the SE approach To create case studies of the selected problem and proposed solution To evaluate the success after the end of the project in order to enrich follow up projects
