Racism and discrimination are increasing in the world, including our communities. We don't want to observe it, we want to react. With the project, we wanted to react on racism, xenophobia and discrimination that are on raise, not only in our communities but in the whole world. Main topic was about recognition of HR and their values in EU and also non-EU countries and how we can enhance activities of our organizations and bring international to local. We wanted to give possibilities to youth workers to actively participate in international project, share and learn about HR and methods of HR education. We aimed to create a safe space where participants from different countries and cultures could share their understanding of HR, learn more and through our guidance create own contribution in society. We aimed at looking at HR through various perspectives (law, biology, social, moral etc) and look for the ways of how each individual can contribute, respect and compliance with HR via various approaches(art, activism, journalism, education etc). In previous HR TCs we noticed that many participants believed that HR do not go in line with religious believes and practices. Lack of knowledge about religions give people misperception of others or their own religions: this can be abused, lead to violence and extremist movements. We aimed to present key ideas of HR issues and offer dialogue in solutions, debates with experts from various fields and offer innovative methods suitable for HR education in local NGOs. Through this project, we also wanted the participants from countries that have difficulties in intercultural dialogue between themselves to have a platform for exploring their national identity and finding common understanding between each other. We aimed to strengthen the network and cooperation between HR educators and leaders and we did so. The methodology used was based on NFE methods, experiential learning, round table discussions with experts about main HR instrument such as HR concept in general, history, Charter, Universal Declaration, Compass and Compassion. We wanted to create a brochure with the innovative methods in HR education that combines international and local work. The concept of the design had the following process: 1. creating innovative methods (or adapting existing ones) 2. on mobilities let the participants to experience them and in debriefings discuss how they can be used in their environment, for their TG, possibly adapt them based on comments 3. create a brochure so they can have in written form what they experienced and use + share it in their communities 4. mentor participants with usage of these innovative methods, be their guides 5. support participants in creating their own HR workshops/activities suitable & needed in their environment In general: through sharing in international environment, we wanted to bring the innovative HR education to local communities The brochure highlighted key elements of HR education. It has been disseminated by pax, which will help not only them but also organizations and communities in daily work in their communities + ensure visibility of the project in different countries. We aimed to foster them to emphasize the importance of bilateral and intercultural dialogue and the importance of gathering to live together. We also wanted to motivate the young individuals to come up with long-lasting project ideas to undertake in their home countries upon changing attitudes and fostering intercultural dialogue. Among main objectives belongs: Develop and promote intercultural competences and diversity management skills for youth work in multi-cultural environments with high conflict risks Encourage participants to see diversity as an opportunity for value creation and cooperation Promote active citizenship and non-violent actions towards peace and democracy Promote NFE approach as a powerful method for dealing with HR education Promote EU programs and opportunities for youth Empower youth workers and active volunteers with skills, knowledge and competences through sensitive use of media, nonviolent communication Promote peace, prevent radicalization and hate speeches Raise awareness on vulnerable groups to radicalization within our societies and to allow participants to discover the different situations of other participating countries Promote tolerance and diversity within local and international voluntary and youth projects by creating videos, workshops, interviews etc. Help young people develop their own initiatives and deepen their knowledge in human rights education All these objectives are aligned with E+ objectives: Improve the level of key competences and skills of young people, including with fewer opportunities, promote participation in democratic life in Europe, enhance the international dimension of youth activities, enhance the capacity of youth workers, etc. Folder with links attached.
