Objectives

The main goals of the project were to extend the network of foreign partners, deepen the internationalization of all study fields, increase the mobility of students and staff, strengthen the role of our school as a hosting organisation for the mobility of foreign students and staff. The project was to contribute to the increase of the quality of vocational education and thus the deeper preparation of learners for the labor market in synergism with parallel running KA2 projects aimed at developing innovations in digitalization of STEM education, cutting-edge didactic technologies (XR), teaching methods (CLIL). In the application, we planned 18 short-term runs for 85 students (38 students in Chemistry, 16 in Hairdressing, 16 in Fire Protection and 15 students in Security and Law). We also planned the implementation of the ErasmusPro activity for a total of 12 students at the workplaces of 6 foreign partners (6 students in Applied Chemistry, 4 in Fire protection, 2 in Hairdressing) and job shadowing activity for 28 teachers (7 in Chemistry, 7 in Fire Protection, 5 in Security and Law and 9 in Hairdressing/Hair Cosmetics. The application involved 16 foreign partners from 10 European countries (UK, DE, IT, FI, ES, CY, SK, MK, LT, LV).

Background

SPŠCH Pardubice (Upper Secondary School of Chemistry Pardubice) is a long-term promoter of VET mobility projects. In 2020, the school achieved accreditation for mobility in vocational education and training. The project from Call 2020 was another one in a series of successfully implemented projects of learners and staff mobility in the VET sector. The project was based on the action plan of the European Internationalization Strategy in order to meet its both qualitative and quantitative indicators. Within this project the school intended again to respond to the needs of learners and staff – their personal and professional development. From previous experience there is obvious an enormous impact what Erasmus+ mobilities are having in many levels and to all target groups: learners, management, pedagogical and nonpedagogical staff. Moreover, opportunities for foreign mobility increase the attractiveness of vocational education across all study fields taught at our school (Applied Chemistry, Security and Law, Fire Protection, Hairdressing and Hair cosmetics).
