As already described in the project application, we tried to assess the expansion of competencies of the teachers by means of the EU competence framework (DigCompEdu), which has now also been adopted by the Bavarian Ministry of Education as catalogue for assessing digital competencies and excellence of teachers. We have adapted this framework to our specific organizational and didactic needs at our school. The goals were evaluated by way of self-assessment (MS Teams) or discussions with colleagues or in workshops respectively. The goals include: the "reflected practice": - enhancing media skills, digital communication and cooperation, responsible use of (digital) media and digital problem solving. - the consistent orientation of the school's didactic annual plan (finetuning of curriculum), - digital professional cooperation (collaboration) via intra-school and inter-school platforms and use of many media formats, - the critically reflected use of digital media for student projects, the ability to digitally organize and evaluate teaching projects - systematic performance assessment and performance control of digitally created learning outcomes
In the wake of the digitization wave, it is not enough for us teachers at Vocational College II in Coburg to reach for lifebelts, but to ride the wave through targeted transfer of skills. In concrete terms, this means that we have developed specific training modules & workshops in cooperation with ETI in Malta and Obchodní Akademie in Prague / Satalice in order to master the challenge of digitization in teaching and school organization. We had already had good experience with ETI / ESE Malta as part of the regional teacher training in Upper Franconia as well as with mobility projects for trainees at Vocational School. For this reason, it made sense to get this project organisation on board. The organization of a workshop with our second partner organization, the Obchodní Akademie in Prague / Satalice, arose from the need to maintain an exchange of experience about the daily use of digital media in lessons. This commercial school is, geographically speaking, ideally located because of its short distance. This contact goes back to our colleague Mr. Schwarz, who has been maintaining contact with the principal, Ms. Maria Václavícová, for many years and helped to launch EU funded student mobility projects in the past.
