Objectives

Getting to know new teaching methods and teaching materials with regard to a European dimension of care. The societies in Europe in general and also in Germany are in Upheaval, are becoming more heterogeneous, more diverse, which means that in addition to the previous competencies that were imparted in the training, a transcultural competency will now also gain in importance. The teams on the wards are increasingly made up of different nationalities, but the patients also reflect this diversity. To this end, the trainees in the project should gain experience abroad in order to further develop their own transcultural competence. In addition, nursing training in Germany is about to be realigned towards general training, such as it is already being practiced in other European countries. In other words, the curriculum will change accordingly. Through the experience abroad, they should take the opportunity to experience general nursing training

Background

We hope for an exchange within the framework of the Erasmus+ program in order to strengthen the transcultural competence of our trainees and to enable us as an institution to better adapt the training to the changed social conditions.
