The aim of the project is to offer apprentices the opportunity to train professionally in European companies. This involves technical supplements that the local training company may not offer. For example, the trainees learn special production techniques or how to work with special materials. Furthermore, it is the declared aim of the BBS Wesermarsch to improve the foreign language skills of the trainees and also of the training staff through mobility. Last but not least, working in international teams increases the intercultural competence of the trainees and is the goal of the project.
The BBS Wesermarsch offers trainees and educational staff the opportunity to expand and consolidate their knowledge and skills through a learning phase abroad. In addition, trainees and educational staff should experience and improve their intercultural and foreign language skills in international contexts. Being able to compete in the European labour market (keyword employability) is another reason for carrying out the project. In addition, large training companies approached the BBS Wesermarsch and signalled their interest in internationalising their training with the BBS Wesermarsch as project organiser.
