The learners should gain practical work experience in the foreign company, acquire professional and intercultural competences and improve their foreign language skills. The acquired knowledge should improve their employability in internationally operating companies as well as their mobility and enable them to think European and entrepreneurially. The participants should actively shape their living, working and learning environment in a European country and strengthen their European identity. Through the use of various ECVET elements developed in previous projects and through the instruments/certificates of the Europass Mobility, the Europass CV, the efficiency and quality, the Europe-wide transparency and recognition of the work placement abroad within the framework of vocational education and training should be increased. The partners should further develop their quality standards against the background of the project goals, use synergy effects and thereby increase their competitiveness and, if necessary, their project financing possibilities.
The target group of the project at the RRB were full-time school students of the vocational grammar school for business and administration with the accent on "Business, Europe, Languages". European education policy has set itself the goal of "strengthening the European education area, deepening mutual trust in the quality of education and increasing professional competences for employability" (cf. RdErl. d. Min. f. Schule u. Weiterbildung, v. 03.04.2017 - 311-1.25.05). For the participants, the internship abroad was part of the additional qualification "International Vocational Mobility". The learning stay was embedded in a preparatory and follow-up course (at least 40 hours) for the purpose of combining theoretical and practical parts of the training (see Annex 1 in the curriculum for the additional qualification "International Professional Mobility" in the above-mentioned circular (RdErl).
