For the trainees, the focus is on supplementing and deepening their forestry training with thematic focal points that the groups could determine themselves. At the same time, the project should improve language skills (English) as well as social skills such as the ability to work in a team, personal responsibility, open-mindedness towards everything that is foreign and different, and thus promote the personal development of the young people. The presentation of the acquired qualifications should be made as transparent as possible via ECVET. Flows were planned for 32 trainees and 30 training staff in seven forestry training institutions in six countries.
Since 1998, the NFBz has maintained partnerships and professional exchanges with other European forestry training centres. The good experiences in the past regarding professional exchange should be maintained and continued. Since 1998, Lower Saxony's forestry trainees have been offered a learning experience abroad, which is seen as an enrichment and an opportunity by all those involved. n times when the security and integrity of the European Union (EU) is threatened from outside, strengthening cohesion and mutual support is all the more important. However, cohesion and a sense of unity can only come about if people know and value each other and important personal relationships develop. Particularly the promotion of the European idea among youths and young adults is of special importance here.
