Our efforts continued to focus on securing the mobility of our apprentices in the dual and full-time vocational training courses - supplemented by courses for language and professional orientation abroad (mainly English). The learners should expand their professional, personal and intercultural skills through concrete experiences in other countries and companies and be adequately supported and encouraged in the context of the care provided by us and our partners when problems arise. The project should also give those learners a chance to participate and broaden their life and work horizons who, due to their social background and/or low financial means, have little chance of work experience and language-professional orientation in other European countries. In the field of teacher training, teachers should be given the opportunity to locate their own professional experience in a European context and to gain new impetus for their teaching practice through personal encounters. In the context of the Covid pandemic, the online offers for blended learning, online tutorials, flipped classroom scenarios, etc., which were created in all European countries, were newly included. These - unforeseen tasks and objectives - were combined within the scope of this project with the internal, at the OSZ Organizational forms of teaching developed by IMT supported by the Europe team. Participation in the "Digital VET Readiness" partnership project that started in 2021 (see OSZ IMT homepage: https://ogy.de/t4f2 ) aimed to involve our teachers in pan-European developments to promote digitally supported teaching and is thus already deepening this previously carried out project "Learning Path" (cf.: https://ogy.de/pnaz and the report from 2020 on the website: https://ogy.de/uiwc )
The OSZ IMT has been running European mobility programs since 2008. Over the years, the goals and requirements of these programs have changed in some cases and, above all, have been more closely integrated into the context of general school and teaching development. The focus remains on the goals of promoting access to the European labor market, supporting intercultural and international employability, expanding language skills and, with regard to the teaching staff, motivating and accessing European training courses, professional and cultural exchange and security in language communication European educational topics and generally the removal of obstacles in access to the European living and working environment through targeted further training and meetings with teachers from Europe. While the topic of "Europe" still had a relatively limited status in school development in the initial phase since 2008, over the years the high number of secondments, the development of long-term cooperation with individual schools in Europe, the participation in partnership projects (e.g. on work-based learning, implementation of DigCompEdu and currently Digital VET Readiness [until 2023]) as well as through the systematic inclusion of internships at the vocational school and the deepening of the involvement of dual partners in all dual professions of the OSZ IMT, the supervision and support of learners and Teachers from European partners through participation in classes, job shadowing, access to our CISCO courses, etc., have established the "Europe" work area as an important, generally accepted and important part of the school's tasks, objectives and organizational sub-areas. With this project, we wanted to strengthen and expand this development in the transition to the accreditation planned (and also successful) in 2021/22. At the same time, we wanted to expand the scope of action and cooperation and win new partners - especially in Eastern Europe, the Baltic States and Scandinavia - in order to deepen the goals of the Europeanization of the learning and working space of the OSZ IMT in the context of personnel and teaching development mentioned in the application .
