The aim of the project was to carry out 405 internships/educational stays abroad for company and school trainees, for graduates of an apprenticeship within one year and for vocational training staff from companies, chambers and vocational schools. The aim was to ensure that these target groups were able to: - Improve labour market opportunities and language skills - Gain job-specific work experience - develop intercultural and social skills The independence of the participants should be promoted through active involvement in organizational processes (independent but also organized stays) The planned cooperation with the national mobility consortium with 8 nationwide partners, vocational schools, professional associations, chambers, employers' associations, mobility advisors and other multipliers and partners, subject teachers/educational staff should be continued, also with the aim that they send their trainees and/or vocational students. Through observation and job sharing, through international experience and expanded skills, the aim was to contribute to the professionalization of the work of the trainers.
The application was based on the knowledge that companies should be supported in improving the recruitment and retention of skilled workers through an international orientation of in-company training. As a rule, support is needed to organize and implement this challenging offer and to impart European, intercultural and social skills. With the project, the EBV intended to contribute to more mobility in vocational education and training nationwide. The aim was to ensure a constant range of services so that companies with an interest in cosmopolitan education and training could rely on constant implementation partners. Understandably, long-standing partners and new ones like to rely on carefree external and reliable support for the linguistic, professional and personal development of the company's junior staff. Experience shows - especially participant reports - that almost 100% the implementation / participation is recommended and the diverse benefits are recognized and appreciated by all participants. This appreciation is an incentive and motivation for the EBV to apply for and implement these projects.
