Preparing students for study and training. This includes international cooperation, using English in subject areas, dealing with new content and being able to present the results. Strengthening the students' social skills and self-confidence and, of course, mastering the English language. We expect a greater willingness to apply for a job directly in a European country or to be employed in Germany by a local company but to work in a branch or subsidiary abroad.
The participating students have an intermediate school level certificate and do a 2- year course for technical aasistants in electrical engineering or information technology. Over a period of six months, they are prepared through lessons in specialised theoretical and practical subjects such as programming, electronics, automation technology and information technology. Another important aspect of the project is that the students are exposed to current technology in the field of electrical engineering/IT over a longer period of time. Through the project, the pupils gain a new, different insight into the respective technologies and also into other forms of work and learning. Another point is to get along with the technical vocabulary in another language and to use it.
