Objectives

The goals of the completed project were diverse. In the interest of the best possible preparation for an increasingly diverse professional life, young people should also acquire new knowledge, skills and competencies in other European countries and gain personal experience. This professional life is more and more characterized by changes and adjustments to new developments and conditions. At the same time, the number of trainees who require special support is increasing. Therefore, the aim of the completed project was to raise awareness and qualify our trainees, our educational staff and our educational institution as a whole for working in Europe, even during the initial training, across regional and national borders. The aim of the completed project was to improve the basic factor of human capital in construction trades and in the construction industry and to improve the chances of our trainees for their future professional life.

Background

Knobelsdorff School carried out the completed project as part of its diverse efforts and activities in order to prepare young people as best as possible for their professional and personal future. In view of the constantly increasing demands on the technical and social skills of skilled workers and construction workers in the rapidly changing European environment, our trainees should be prepared for this, taking into account as many important aspects as possible. There are also a variety of challenges for the teachers who train them. On the one hand, in a Europe that is growing closer and closer together, the need for well-trained and flexible workers is constantly increasing. And on the other hand, the proportion of less qualified and disadvantaged trainees is increasing as well. So professional exchanges between teachers at an international level is of great benefit. In this way, as an educational institution for construction trades, we are improving our competence to offer our trainees a differentiated range of training courses and activity options tailored to their different requirements to promote their personal development.
