1. Strengthening existing links with partner institutions and establishing new contacts for an increasing international orientation of our school profile and vocational education. Practical experience for more students abroad, not only in the form of short-term mobilities, but also ErasmusPro long-term mobilities during the 3rd year of the vocational training. 2. Getting to know and dealing with different concepts and approaches in early childhood education and intercultural pedagogy. In this way, the educational staff will be strengthened in their competence to implement European impulses in their teaching and in the counselling of students. Furthermore, to give teachers and learners the opportunity to broaden their perspective during internships or further education abroad. 3. Strengthening the the early childhood teachers’ personality and professional key competencies in order to meet social challenges at work, e.g. in dealing with cultural and linguistic diversity in the daily pedagogical work with children and families from different countries. 4. Open-mindedness towards the European labour market.
Fachakademie is an educational institution with an international orientation. It has a very solid network of active cooperation with several European countries, which has been built up over the last 10 years in previous projects. ECVET instruments have been developed and successfully applied in mobility projects ever since. This cooperation was to be continued and intensified, while extending it with new partners. On the other hand, the cultural diversity among the children and young people in day-care centres and other educational institutions is very high. Therefore, intercultural and foreign language skills - which can be sustainably promoted by practical experience abroad- are extremely important for early childhood teachers and their teachers or trainers. In addition, the training and practice of future educators needs to be enriched by new pedagogical impulses, perspectives and concepts from other European countries. Last but not least, future professionals in the field of education need to experience the importance and positive effect of European cooperation.
