Background

Berufskolleg Neandertal is committed to providing a comprehensive vocational education for its learners. We firmly believe that European encounters make a crucial contribution to the development of comprehensive international, vocational, and personal competencies. Building on the success of a kick-off project in 2018, we aimed at continuing the positive experiences with Erasmus+ mobility programs and establish the foundation for a successful internationalization strategy. Through European learning experiences, apprentices have the opportunity to gather valuable insights within a European context, expanding and deepening their intercultural, personal, social, and professional competencies. We aim to not only reflect the European idea in our mission statement and school program, but also actively integrate it into our everyday school life. It is important to broaden awareness of cultural diversity and enhance the ability for intercultural communication and collaboration. In an open, inclusive, and respectful learning environment, we strive to ensure that our learners can operate successfully on a local, regional, as well as international level.
