Specifically, the consortium pursued the following objectives: 1) Increasing the attractiveness of vocational education and training by raising awareness among vocational education and training staff (from experience to action) 2) Internationalization of trainers through international networking 3) Strengthening international labour and cooperation relations in the field of vocational education and training 4) Quality: The project aims not only at quantitative but also at high-quality mobility of VET staff 5) Positive impact on mobility activities of trainees.
With this mobility project, the consortium essentially pursued the mission of securing and developing skilled workers in Brandenburg through internationalization. Geographical mobilities for those involved in vocational education and training (learners and teachers) were understood as a measure to expand competences, retain and increase the attractiveness of jobs and training places. The exchange of good practice in vocational education and training and the importance of work-based learning for qualified professionals in an international context was at the top of the agenda. The aim was to initiate and sustainably consolidate international working and cooperation relationships in vocational education and training. However, the VET staff is also regarded as a initiator and multiplier for attractive international vocational training. The best way to generate this is through own experience abroad. The aim of the project was to actively promote the culture of mobility in training companies, chambers of commerce and vocational schools. The internationalisation of vocational education and training and the attractiveness of the dual vocational education and training system through stays abroad had to be strengthened in the region.
