Three main objectives (Z1 to Z3) are associated with the implementation of the "Europe for Future" project, which aim to improve both in the participants and in the Max Weber Berufskolleg (MWBK) as an institution: Z1: Consolidate the profile of the Max Weber Berufskolleg as a "European School" (Europaschule in NRW). Z2: Promote (intercultural) European competences among the participants and beyond. Z3: Intensify and consolidate European school partnerships (1) to promote mobility and (2) to innovate an (international/digital) school system. innovate (international/digital/future) vocational education and training in schools. vocational training. Z4: Developing a key environmental competence in the sense of a sustainable/future-oriented/green Europe.
As Max-Weber-Berufskolleg, we have been offering mobility projects for students and colleagues for about ten years. Since 2012, we have been designated as a European School (Europaschule) in North Rhine-Westphalia. Thus, this project continues this tradition and offers the participants and the school the opportunity to achieve the goals listed in the next point. Internationalisation is one of the three pillars laid down in our school programme. Firstly, internationalisation enables participants to look beyond the national (work) horizon. In a globalised world, intercultural competence is crucial to work successfully in international companies. Through exchanges with foreign partners, students can develop their intercultural skills. Secondly, sustainability is becoming increasingly important in the business world. Companies are placing more and more emphasis on environmental and social responsibility. A vocational college that sensitises its students to sustainable action gives them valuable skills for the future. Students learn how to make environmentally conscious decisions and implement sustainable practices in their professional environment.
