Objectives

In order to sharpen our European profile and to strengthen the European competence of students and staff, our goals in this project were: - Increase the professional mobility and intercultural competences of the trainees and pupils as well as the teaching staff in the form of joint projects with European partner institutions and internships abroad. - Building and deepening European partnerships and networks. This gave us the opportunity to compare the training paths of our students with each other and to implement successful teaching and learning contents at our vocational school as well as to pass on proven knowledge and experiences of our vocational school. - Internationalisation of the teaching of our vocational training courses, in the form of English-language teaching units. An all-school European curriculum integrating all vocational training courses has been and is being strived for. - Improving and expanding the advisory and support structures on the subject of stays abroad. - Increasing European/international visibility The further development of European/international public relations work was a declared immediate goal of mediencollege Berlin.

Background

With this project, mediencollege Berlin also intended to continue the path of internationalisation it had already taken, to provide its students with a comprehensive knowledge of Europe and European institutions and to contribute to an understanding of European culture and diversity. We also wanted to offer our students a variety of opportunities to develop intercultural competences and strengthen their multilingualism. The aim was to stimulate the students' interest in the European Union, to impart knowledge about the EU and to deepen their understanding of European issues. European issues. In this way, we wanted to actively prepare our pupils for living and working in a united Europe and support them in recognising its opportunities and possibilities, especially with regard to professional mobility, and to use them sensibly and responsibly. Against this background, we saw and see numerous opportunities for development through Erasmus+ for our vocational school and promise ourselves an enrichment for the daily work in our educational institution also in the future for the quality development of teaching, staff and organisation.
