By learning and working abroad, our students should become more open to foreign people and situations and learn to organize themselves independently and on their own responsibility. They expand their social and professional skills and can also bring these experiences to their home companies. They gain more understanding for people from a different cultural background and are enabled and encouraged to participate in the European labor market. The accompanying teachers will expand their professional skills and experience how learning and teaching is done in a European neighbor. They will be enriched and motivated by the professional and personal exchange with colleagues. The trainees for the assistant for nutrition and supply management and the students of the technical academy for Nutrition and Supply Management will later, in the course of their careers, generally work in social or tourism-related areas, which is why their personal development requires special support and flexibility is a high priority. They can put their professional knowledge and skills to the test abroad and supplement them with country-specific content.
Since we had good experiences with the cooperation with the Home Economics Technical College in Neumarkt and personal contacts with the Strukovna škola Eugena Kumičića Rovinj existed, we decided to apply for a learning mobility of individuals with this institution through the program Erasmus+ Vocational Education. We wanted to expand this exchange even further and decided to bring another partner country on board for the Technical College for Nutrition and Supply Management and came into contact with a company in Norway via the Regensburg Vocational School. We were able to expand this and now have four more partner companies in central Norway. In addition, we started with the teacher flows and very quickly realized that they offer great added value for our colleagues.
