Objectives

Participation in the project was able to promote many areas of competence in our students. The internship in a company promoted not only technical and language skills, but also intercultural and personal competence. The participants were able to gain insight into the international working world, get to know a new working culture and compare it with their own. This also strengthened the participants' European awareness. The mobility in South Tyrol aimed at further deepening the existing school partnership. In the areas of quality management and "new ways of teaching" at the partner school, the mobility achieved significant new insights.

Background

The Werner-von-Siemens-Schule Staatliche Berufsschule Cham works successfully with institutions in various European countries on cooperation projects and would like to further its international orientation. The aim is to achieve a better understanding of educational systems, working methods, cultures and attitudes to life of the inhabitants of other European countries. Teachers and learners should thus be able to develop more and more into "European citizens" and expand their intercultural competence. The view into the working methods of educational institutions and companies abroad should help to broaden one's own horizon and to constantly improve the quality of education at our school. The international cooperation as well as the global working world of the companies also require the improvement of the language competence of the teachers and learners.
