1. Among the teaching staff We wanted to integrate colleagues who are new to our school into the internationalisation process of our school. In the future, subject vocabulary should also be available in English. In addition, teachers abroad should develop their subject/methodological competence in order to make teaching more attractive, a building block to reduce the school drop-out rate. Teaching should be expanded to include an internat. This is a component to reduce the school dropout rate. Teaching should be expanded to include an international component to take account of increasing globalisation and to simplify communication with pupils with a migrant background in terms of language. Impulses for dealing with problematic pupils can also come from the European partners. 2. Pupils Many more pupils should participate in European projects in order to develop subject-specific, linguistic and social competences (personal responsibility, independence) and to give pupils the opportunity to network abroad. 3. Within the school We wanted to get impulses for the school development process with mobilities abroad and optimise processes and promote the Europeanisation of our education.
The aim was to promote the internationalisation of education at our school in as many subject areas as possible. At the same time, our European network was to be strengthened and, if possible, expanded by gaining new partners. The participants were to be won over for the European idea and carry it into the classes as multipliers. We also hoped that the participants would gain competence in the areas of technical, social and linguistic skills. Through job shadowing with our European partners, we wanted to recognise our strengths but also our weaknesses and finally gain impulses for our school development.
