The Erasmus+ program was intended to be a significant help and motivation for young apprentices to take the step abroad, thereby significantly enhance their personal and professional competences and meet the growing demands of the job market in a unique way. In addition to the professional experiences gained during the internship, the program aimed to help participants navigate life in the host country, break down barriers, and establish contacts. Specific goal agreements, such as requirements for the internship report, provided participants a framework, as did the support provided by employees of the project partners and, of course, the team from the sending school.
In our project "Internship Abroad in Education," the goal was to provide for a total of 10 apprentices from the full-time educational program for Business Assistants, specializing in Foreign Languages, the opportunity to complete the required 4-week company internship in a European country within the two-year project duration, with organized support and financial assistance for travel and accommodation. Unfortunately, only four apprentices were willing to undertake the internship abroad.
