In addition to the secondment, the aim was also to expand and consolidate cooperations, such as with the Käthe Kollwitz Vocational College in Hagen and, beyond that, other new partners abroad and vocational schools in Germany. The mobilities were to take place in close coordination between the academy and the vocational college. In addition, we also wanted to jointly acquire further target countries and thus expand the offer. The primary goal, however, was to make mobility possible for participants who cannot easily afford foreign experience from their own resources or who are not in a position to acquire the contacts and funds to do so.
With this project, the Klausenhof Academy wanted to give young people the opportunity to gain practical experience abroad, to impart intercultural skills and thus to broaden their horizons. This is to be promoted through cultural and professional exchange abroad. Education and learning as well as European networking is a special concern of the Akademie Klausenhof. Furthermore, this should be open to all levels of society and this experience should also be possible for marginalized groups of society. Here the Erasmus + Mobility project is the perfect opportunity to support socially disadvantaged young people to use the chance for a stay abroad. The close supervision and financial support help to make this possible.
