The participants gain new experience for their further training as well as for their future jobs. They analyse pedagogical approaches in European childcare institutions with a focus on diversity and the usage of new media. They explore and deal with different cultures and expand their intercultural horizon. They also improve their (foreign) language skills. The participants of the long-term mobilities also work on other thematic focuses on-site during their last year of practical training. On the one hand, the teaching staff should get to know the structures and concepts of the institutions more intensively. The newly gained impulses should be passed on to the Erasmus+ team other teachers, students, in school events and teaching settings. On the other hand, the teaching staff should also be enablecl to advise the participating students and the contact persons of the institution as well as promote the cooperation on-site and plan the intercultural week. Finally, the quality of the nursery teachers´ training at our school should improve by taking part in the Erasmus+ project.
After our first two Erasmus+ projects had been very successful, we decided to implement our third project with the title “The diversity of intercultural pedagogical education in Europe ”. In the third project we sent more students and teachers than ever, after so many students had to cancel their internships due to Covid-19 in the second project. We could build on former positive experiences by stabilising the cooperation with our partner institutions and enabling further students and teachers to gain important insight into the European pedagogical education. At the same time we wanted to use this project to share the work of our institutions abroad and the students experiences within our school in our “intercultural week”.
