Wisamar Bildungsgesellschaft is committed to promoting tolerance, cultural openness and lifelong learning in all its fields of activity. Above all, we want to support trainees in becoming responsible EU citizens and enable teaching staff to convey European values to their trainees. The mobilities enabled learners and teachers in the vocational training sector to look beyond their own horizons and thus to develop their professional, social and intercultural skills. In addition, foreign language skills in English and in the target language were expanded. The learners come out of the mobility experience more confident, empowered and tolerant. The teachers got to know training companies and teaching institutions abroad and were able to gain impulses for their professional activities through exchanges with peers. The expansion of intercultural competencies also plays a decisive role for the teachers, as the increasingly diverse German training market urgently requires competencies for transculturality. All in all, it was possible to set an example for European community and common European values.
The promotion of education, openness and tolerance are the defined corporate goals of the Wisamar educational institute. Mobility projects are one of the essential measures to achieve these corporate objectives and to support the living, educational and cultural area of Europe. Our commitment in the field of mobility is all the more important when one considers the current social and political situation in Saxony and Saxony-Anhalt. The electoral successes of the AfD and the increase in everyday racism show the need for political and cultural education. For this reason, it is important for us to involve young people as well as vocational training personnel in mobility projects and thus to promote the European idea, appreciation for a diverse society, tolerance and openness to the world. At the same time mobilities offer the possibility to train important key competencies: Action competence, self-efficacy, solution orientation and personal initiative.
