From 15 years of activity in vocational training in rural areas, there is the possibility of trainees and trainers gaining knowledge within the framework of European cooperation, gaining new experiences and experiencing them on site. It is important to consolidate the European idea together with the partners of the HVHS and to bring it into the training as an example of lived internationality. The passing on of technical and social key topics in the preparation of the mobility and the subsequent evaluation in the context of the lessons and during the practical work in the companies by the trainees and trainers of the HVHS has a high priority. This takes place within the framework of the respective class structure or within the company training and according to the apprenticeship years. This ensures that the training goals and results also benefit trainees and trainers who had no mobility opportunities. With the evaluation, which was presented by the trainees with Power Point to the class association and the individual years of training in the companies, it was also possible to present special new knowledge and skills in technical and social structures.
The focus of the work was to enable trainees and trainers in rural areas to have teaching and learning opportunities in a European context through internships and job shadowing. Our network partners from the forest, social, educational and health sectors, nature and environmental protection could be won over to set up a mobility consortium that enables us to enable a large number of young people to do an internship abroad. Despite the restrictions caused by the Covid pandemic, this ensured optimal project work. With the projects in 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019, the foundation was laid for continuous project work in rural areas, which could be used in this project. Over the past three years, employees at the HVHS have gained knowledge and experience with vocational training through a targeted further training strategy. These include the network partners IHK Leipzig, the Leipzig Commercial College, the Training Center for Health Professions Leipzig GmbH, the Dessau Training Center gGmbH, the Education Action for the Environment Heyne GmbH, the Forestry Training Center Saxony-Anhalt -FBZ, Saxony and the Brandenburg Forestry School.
