The aims of the project can be subdivided into linguistic, professional, personal and social aspects. Naturally, it is always a goal of sending people to a foreign country for them to learn the language in a native context, both in professional as well as everyday situations. Furthermore, the participants were able to make use of their professional knowledge and expertise during their stay. Most importantly, it is our hope to improve the lives of the participants on a personal and social level. Living in a globalized world makes it necessary to gain intercultural skills, emotional and personal strength and confidence. In giving them a chance to participate in the project, we hope that the participants will become even more active parts of the German and also of the European society.
The Berufliches Schulzentrum is a vocational college and it has set itself objectives as an educational institution. These have made their way into the manifesto of our school. Aims can be found such as we think ourselves to be a forum for cultural, social and political discourse and development. We also aim at teaching and training professional, social, intercultural and methodological competences as a basis for every aspect of students' lives. It is also worth mentioning that we focus on the individual personalities of our students and thus the individual support that they deserve. With regard to the project, it is exactly this objective of the individual support in combination with a holistic approach to the learning process. The participants are given the opportunity to broaden their horizons and develop according to their individual progress. The long-term and overall aim of our institution is the promotion of the idea of the European Union as well as the international cooperation in general. Erasmus+ is an important part of this.
