This project should build on the projects since 2012 (the beginning of the cooperation with JAS / GEB) and further anchor the European idea / the Erasmus program in school life. In the past, the trips of the educational staff, which were largely noticed in this project because of Corona, have contributed to this anchoring. The pupils of the three partner schools should learn that there is a permanent possibility of receiving Erasmus funding during and after the training.
The project “Discover Europe! (IV)" is based on projects of the same name, which have been carried out by BBS Melle as leader of the consortium or by the consortium itself since 2015. In addition to BBS Melle, members of the consortium are currently BBS Wildeshausen and BBS Nordhorn, all of which are located in north-western Lower Saxony. This was preceded by the collaboration on a pool project between the Jane Addams School and the GEB in Berlin, which the BBS Melle used until 2015 to give students the opportunity to gain work experience abroad. In recent years, several other technical schools for social education have joined this cooperation. Beyond the specialist area of social pedagogy, this project also extended to the industrial and technical area and thus to dual training. However, this area is still under construction.
