Through the internships abroad, we want to promote innovation by encouraging exchange and the development of new ideas in foreign and domestic fields of work, as well as contribute to strengthening European identity and active citizenship. Europe becomes tangible for the learners. We want to give our learners the opportunity to broaden their horizons and have intercultural experiences in their field of work. They will have the opportunity to experience cultural diversity in another country, as most of them do not have the opportunity to gain professional experience abroad in any other way or are rarely able to spend time abroad on their own initiative. We want to encourage them to learn from different/international contexts and environments. Through the internships abroad, not only professional skills and abilities are promoted for the participants, but also language skills, personal skills and social skills to a particularly high degree.
The most important task of our organisation on the one hand is to prepare our learners for their future working life and on the other hand for current and future, personal and social challenges. The acquisition of key competences (professional/personal skills) is at the heart of the training. They also need to acquire social and language skills to cope with and adapt to an ever-changing multicultural environment and international work situation. Our learners have different cultural and social backgrounds. They have to adapt to different situations in the working world that require intercultural competences. Through the internships abroad, not only professional skills and abilities are acquired, but also tolerance, respect, flexibility. These competences are crucial for personal and professional development. Especially in the field of health social work, which is the professional focus of our educational institution, these competences are of utmost importance.
