Objectives

The aim of the project was to be able to create a mobility offer for all stakeholders of BS Eutin. Full-time students should have the opportunity to put the knowledge they have learned to the test during their professional internships. Furthermore, it should become a matter of course at our school that stays abroad, e.g. in the form of internships, become an integral part of professional training. As a European school, we also consider it a consistent addition to our teaching to expand the European idea, not just in theory. Through projects, the topic of Europe becomes more significant and present in the classroom but also in the teachers' room.

Background

At the Eutin vocational school there is a great need for mobility for teachers on the one hand, but also for full-time students and trainees on the other. Mobility within Europe should be made available to all groups of people in an organized way, regardless of income and social circumstances, in order to be able to develop professionally. This means they can improve their professional skills and prospects. Furthermore, mobilities serve cultural exchange, for example to get to know other ways of life, which promotes understanding and intercultural dialogue. Many participants use the mobilities to learn languages and brush up on their foreign language skills. A positive side effect of mobilities is the consolidation or expansion of the network and valuable new contacts are often made. In summary, it can be said that at the political level there is a promotion of European values such as tolerance, diversity and social cohesion because there is intercultural exchange.
