Background

As part of the project "Working and Learning in Europe - Cooperation Project of the Darmstadt-Dieburg Education Region", the Landrat-Gruber-Schule (LGS), Martin-Behaim-Schlule (MBS), Heinrich-Emanuel-Merck-Schule (HEMS) and the Darmstadt Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK) as well as the Darmstadt Chamber of Crafts as a silent partner have joined forces to form a consortium. The three participating schools have been cooperating in a consortium since 2016, as all of them are involved in international cooperations in various forms. Since the consortium wanted to provide a regional offer, it made sense to involve the regional chambers. The Chamber of Industry and Commerce and the Chamber of Crafts maintain contacts with foreign partners and provide support in the placement of internships. internships. At the same time, due to their strong regional position, they can act as door openers to companies, help schools with advertising campaigns in their media and also offer interested pupils who do not come from partner schools opportunities for internships abroad by referring these trainees to us. The Chamber of Skilled Crafts additionally offers intercultural training for the participants of the mobility projects as preparation.
