Objectives

With this project, we had the following objectives in mind: Enhancement of Language Proficiency: Our primary goal was the significant improvement of our students' language proficiency, particularly in English. We aimed to ensure that our students possess fluent language skills that enable effective communication in an international work environment. Boosting Employability: Through the improvement of language skills and intercultural competencies, we aimed to enhance our students' employability. Our aspiration was for them to be more competitive in the European job market upon completing their education, affording them better professional opportunities. Strengthening Intercultural Competencies: By means of international mobility and interaction with students from other countries, we sought to nurture our students' intercultural competencies. Our aim was for them to develop a deeper understanding of different cultures and work practices. Integration of the European Dimension: We intended to more strongly integrate the European dimension into our teaching and school activities. This was envisioned to heighten our students' awareness of European cooperation and integration. Implementation of Long-Term Strategy: The project served the implementation of our long-term strategic orientation by transforming our school into an institution equipped to meet the demands of a globalized world, providing our students with the necessary skills. In summary, through this project, our objectives were to enhance our students' language proficiency, strengthen their employability, promote intercultural competencies, integrate the European dimension, expand partnerships, and achieve our long-term strategic goals.

Background

We undertook this project to address the needs and goals of our school in the realm of European mobility and collaboration. As a vocational school, it is our responsibility to equip our students for the demands of the European job market. The internationalization of education and the promotion of language proficiency are pivotal in this endeavor. Our motivation stemmed from various sources: European Labor Market Integration: The escalating globalization necessitates that our students possess the ability to function in an international setting. To provide them with optimal prospects in the European job market, enhancing their language skills and intercultural competencies was imperative. European Educational Strategies: European educational strategies, particularly the Europe 2020 initiative "Youth on the Move," placed a strong emphasis on improving education systems and boosting the international appeal of educational institutions. Our project directly aligned with these strategies. Creation of Value: Participation in international exchange programs and training sessions furnishes added value to our students and teachers. It broadens their perspectives, fosters intercultural sensitivity, and enables the adoption of proven methods from other countries. Establishment of Partnerships: Establishing partnerships with schools in other countries enables us to foster intercultural exchange and learn about new teaching methods. These partnerships contribute to enhancing the quality of our education. Long-Term Strategic Orientation: The project aligns with our long-term strategic orientation by transforming our school into a future-oriented institution that prepares its students for the challenges of a globalized world. In summary, we carried out the project to ensure that our students are adequately prepared for the challenges and opportunities of the European job market, to enhance the quality of our education, and to bolster the European dimension within our teaching practices.
