We aimed to test and further develop inclusive building blocks of adult education in coordination with a generally applicable European training framework of the participating institutions. We wanted to test new inclusive teaching methods and tools in a European dimension in order to improve staff and management competences for the implementation of such learning experiences. In addition, we wanted to further develop our curriculum and organizational competence in cross-national collaboration. Teaching people and employees from the area of adult education of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Northern Germany, the youth construction center Plön Koppelsberg, the Preetzer Werkstätten develop inclusive further education and training courses with the focus on the promotion of people with disabilities and their education and training opportunities. They jointly plan and conduct various training courses, for example on the topics of inclusion and participation, health and nutrition, in order to subsequently act as multipliers and teachers on these topics in their organizations and facilities.
It is still rare for disadvantaged and (learning) disabled people to go abroad for learning purposes. With our partner institutions, we have noticed that there are very few, if any, offers in the field of adult education for people with and without disabilities in other European countries. In order to change this, we are working on the necessary framework conditions in this project. We want to test new teaching methods and teaching aids in a European dimension, improve the staff and management competences for the realization of such learning stays, further develop our curriculum and our organizational competence. Participants in the project "European Living and Working Environments - EULA InFo" were the Evangelical - Lutheran Church in Northern Germany - Jugendaufbauwerk (JAW) Plön Koppelsberg as the coordinator as well as the Bildungshaus Schloss Retzhof (Austria), the Stiftung St. Elisabeth Bildungshaus Lichtenburg (South Tyrol) and the Lebenshilfewerk Kreis Plön (Germany) as associated partners.
