The course participants learn new teaching methods and didactic approaches in order to be able to apply them in the educational work of the organisation. They acquire the necessary skills to offer even better non-formal education programmes in the future according to the needs of the target groups. Furthermore, they should be sensitised to their own strengths and recognise and improve additional areas of development. GefAS plans not only to further intensify its European project work with a wide range of partners, but also to pick up and consider the European idea more concretely in the development of prospective educational programmes and curricula. With the project, the training participants will acquire the necessary competences to modernise their work and thus the association with regard to the European development, to bring it up to an international and current level in adult education. In this way, they will be able to meet challenges (digitalisation, e-learning). They will act as multipliers for other staff members.
Since 2009 GefAS has been active in various European projects in adult education and social cohesion. In these projects, the employees involved have repeatedly been able to gain new experiences, discover new approaches, methods and contents for their daily social work. During this time, GefAS has developed from a rather German corporation into an increasingly European corporation. This development is to be continued even more intensively in the coming years. The educational staff and employees are to be given the opportunity to exchange ideas even more actively and effectively with their European partners, to learn and to be better trained/educated. The participants acquire the necessary competences to bring their work up to current and international standards in adult education. With this project, GefAS strives to intensify and strengthen the areas of education and information, integration of socially disadvantaged people – especially refugees – as well as transnational European project work.
