Staff mobility: One teacher working in the security department wanted to get an insight into the training at our partner in the Netherlands in the subject English as well as security business related subjects. She also wanted to get an insight into the Dutch vocational training and intended to find inspiration how to combine contents of the subjects with the subject English in order to include it into the curriculum at her vocational college. In addition the partnership on the teacher level should have been consolidated for further cooperations and projects in the field of security services. Mobility of learners: The objectives were ro provide a sustainable development of job-related skills plus development of language and intercultural competences for learners both apprentices and students following full-time trainings and pre-vocational trainings from different vocational fields (metalwork, engineering, chemistry, security services). The activities would have been measures within the quality management of the vocational college and would have been sustainable as they would have been implemented into the curricula, integrated in school development processes and the school's work on the European level and finally would have been consolidated the network of partners within the project.
The main objective of this project WPA VI was to realize one activitiy of educational staff as well as 24 mobilities of students of the Berufskolleg West trained in different fields of the vocational college. The activities focus on the institutional development of the college with regard to quality management and internationalization. The partner institutions and companies involved are stakeholders the college has long-lasting cooperations. In addition one aim of the project was the consolidation of relationship to partners that have just become members of the network. In the long run project like WPA contribute to the institutions’ reputation and impact within the region plus the students’ competitiveness on the European labour market.
