Countries: DE · Grant: €28,022.6

Objectives

In the project, the 78 vocational colleges in the Düsseldorf administrative district were to be given incentives to intensify their systematic internationalisation efforts by promoting mobility projects, thus contributing to a further increase in the number of learners gaining experience abroad in the context of a high-quality internship. In the sense of inclusive VET, the aim is to make this opportunity possible for all young people in principle and to open it up in particular to those who have so far had little access to educational opportunities of this kind. After coping with the Corona pandemic, activities were aimed at motivating the vocational colleges to resume their mobility activities. This was to be done by: - promotion of the additional qualification "International Vocational Mobility" of the state of NRW as a further incentive for learners to complete an internship abroad - promotion of the mobility of disadvantaged learners. - Promoting in-service training and mobility for teachers at vocational colleges in the district to plan, implement and follow up on work placements abroad. - Promotion of intercultural competence

Background

The Office for EU Projects and Vocational Qualification belongs to the Department 45 of Vocational Education and Training of the Düsseldorf district government and is part of the Higher School Supervision. The Department 45 cooperates with 78 vocational colleges. The GEB is a service unit of Department 45 which advises the vocational colleges and their partners in vocational education and training on the conception of European and national projects, provides assistance in the search for possible European project partners and provides information on the selection of suitable EU funding programmes. The GEB advises the vocational colleges in the district on European funding opportunities and gives its professional opinion on project initiatives. It intensifies mobility in vocational education and training and organises the exchange of expertise and information among the vocational colleges. The individual schools are to receive targeted support in order to be able to meet the diverse requirements of project planning, application, partner search and curricular integration in the sense of sustainable structural support for a European profile of vocational education and training. The project takes these aspects into account.
