Background

In the internationalization strategy developed by the Berlin Police for the application for the Erasmus+ Mobility Charter 2015 and the goals formulated there, the "Staff" target group was given significant importance. The project served to implement the goals formulated there with regard to this target group: 1. Increasing the competence of the target group "Staff" (professional, social, linguistic, intercultural) as well as of the officers in basic and further training by transferring the knowledge gained to the Berlin Police and thus generally improving the quality of training and further education 2. Deepening / expanding professional networks 3. Optimization of police work in the capital and metropolis of Berlin through quality improvement (see above) and internationalization of training and further education 4. Sensitization of the participants to European cooperation and thus the European dimension of their activities. Erasmus+ mobilities for educational staff have been taking place since 2015 and have proven to be a tool for further training and staff development for the above-mentioned target group. Continued contacts and mobility with new partners deepen and expand networks and gain knowledge.
